Does Ashford have a campus in Florida? I prefer to take classes on the ground campus. UOP has 5 locations in my area. I take classes one night per week. Can I do that at Ashford? How much are the classes at Ashford?
A BA degree at UOP is almost $70,000 if you have never been to college before. Financial aid will not cover all of that! Try Ashford University where it is 1/3 less… plus half of the headaches!
A Bachelor degree is a bachelor degree. Unless you attend Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Mit or other Ivy leage type schools, its the same. The advantage that you will have is that UOP is known all over the country. For example, in my town, we have a traditional 4 year degree colleges named Lynn University, Palm beach Atlantic University or NorthWood University. Have you ever heard of these schools in Atlanta? I didn’t think so. University of Phoenix is very well known and has many graduates. Good Luc
I know that I am getting ready to graduate in atlanta in June 7th to be exact. I am just asking do you know when I show my resume to jobs will they consider be like any other applicant with a bachelor degree
Most applicants to UOP already have jobs. Having a job is one of the requirements for admission. However, I did read in an article that stated that UOP does not have a effective job placement program. The good thing about attending UOP is that most people knows some one who currently attends or attended UOP. At my job, I know at least one person who attended UOP. I have applied for jobs in the past that I was able to get an interview for because both the HR rep and I attended UOP. Good Luck!
can anyone talk about there experience getting a job after graduation
thanks for the video, I’ve been curious about Phoenix
LOL. I hear you! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I went to University of Phoenix for two years and then transferred to Ashford University. I do not like Ashford and I will be going back to Phoenix as soon as possible to finish the Bach..
YEAH CONGRAT DUDE…. You make me feel goo do to the fact your 31 years old and am 21…. Being 21 at times I feel like istarted to late…But yeah UOP is a great school am soon to work as a correctional officier while attending school am going to get my bachelor degree on criminal justice to become a Probation Officier…. YEah its true you can transfer credits before you its best to always speak to both counslers from both schools
Wow congrats on that. Do you think you will get a good job from attending this school? I’m thinkin about getting a degree in IT/ Networking in this school. What do you think?
Congrats to you! I think UOP is a wonderful school. As we all know, each and every endeavor we encounter will only be as good as we make it. It’s important to keep a positive attitude, work hard, BE DISCIPLINED, shun procrastination and stay the course no matter how difficult! Of course there will be naysayers, but most online programs now are modeled after UOP! I wish everyone success and blessings!
My cousin attends U of P, I am also about to start classes on the 30th, I cant wait!
I can only speak for myself, but I was able to get financial aid that covered all costs. I had leftover money from the loans, in fact. I’m getting my AA in IT/Networking and its awesome. Anyone contemplating going back to school should seriously consider this if you do not need a face-to-face environment. It simply pwns..
I too have enjoyed my classes at the University of Phoenix. Best Wishes!
Congratulations on your educational pursuit. I obtained both my B.S. and MBA from UOP (both on-campus), while working full time as well. I have no regrets, except not having started sooner. I started my Doctoral degree with UOP in September; however, upon further research, I followed my heart and transferred to Capella University to pursue my PhD in Public Safety (which unfortunately UOP does not offer as of yet).
Wishing you continued success.
Best Regards,
Well i work for the school and people just dont really understand the flexibility and convienance the school offers to get your degree online at your own pace. U cant beat that.
I’ve heard that too.
How about law schools? Are bachelor degrees from the University of Phoenix accepted at law schools?
They are also a great place to work for! (-:
There will always be people hating on the school. I have read a lot and there are usually one of two things happening. The first is they were a former student that couldn’t handle it. Their response to that is to bad mouth the school instead of taking some responsibility for themselves. The 2nd is people just dogging it because its online. If you ask about what they know, they usually know little to nothing and are just making assumptions. They just think it is easier because it is done online.
Great Video! I am getting my AA right now in IT and will be done with that in August. I will be starting on my bachelors right after.
The school is great IMO. It is definitely not easy and it takes a lot of time and effort. I have seen many people who are attending UofP and also previously attended a traditional school say that he work from UofP was actually more difficult.
I just graduated from Axia College. I am starting my BSIT program at UOP on 2/17. I hear mixed reviews of the schools level of acceptance. I realize it is accredited, but I still think that my degree is not taken as seriously as somoene with a degree from a “traditional” University. The amount I am spending on this degree will hopefully reward me with a job that will at least allow me to maintain my lifestyle and payback the student loans. Keep in touch, and let me know how you do. Good luck!
